Acquiring the premid onboard unit
Premid onboard units can be acquired at all premid point distribution centres and contact centres immediately after registration. The process of registration can be ensured by pre-registration.
Deactivation of the onboard unit during transport
To prevent unintentional toll transactions, the onboard unit must be contained in a protective case during transport. The protective case will be issued together with the onboard unit. If the protective case is not used, tolls that have been charged unintentionally charged shall not be waived.
Changing data
Upon registration, the premid onboard unit is activated and programmed with registration data that cannot be altered. The only item that can be changed is information on the number of axles, as described in the operating instructions of the premid guide. The driver is required to check this setting information before entering any toll road, otherwise, the driver can face major penalties.
Returning the premid onboard unit
The premid onboard unit can be returned at any premid point distribution centre or contact centre.(Post pay OBU can be returned Personaly only at contact centre) In the prepaid system, the user will be refunded their deposit and remaining toll credits (requires proper identification). The deposit and remaining toll credits will always be returned in the same manner in which they were paid (card, cash). A maximum of CZK 5,000 (credits) + 1550 (deposit) can be paid in cash. Higher amounts will be returned to the account of the vehicle operator based on a written request. In the postpaid system, the deposit will be refunded in the manner agreed upon in the contract between the vehicle operator and the electronic tolling system operator.
Damage to the premid onboard unit
The premid onboard unit must not be damaged or opened. If it is, the deposit will not be refunded and the unit will be blocked. If the onboard unit cannot be read, the remaining credits will be refunded in the prepaid system. Identification data provided on the unit shall never be deleted.
Loss
It is in the interest of the user to report the loss of their premid onboard unit at one of the nearest premid point distribution centres or contact centres or by contacting the call centre as soon as possible. The premid unit will be blocked within five minutes after it has been demonstrably reported as missing. The subsequent procedure is stipulated by the General Business Terms and Conditions of the system operator.
Retrieval
A found onboard unit can be returned to any premid point distribution centre or contact centre. However, if the user finds an onboard unit registered in its own name after it has reported it as missing, the user is obligated to return it to the above points. The user will be refunded the deposit and the credit, if any, will be transferred to a new unit.
Forfeiture
A premid unit that is not used for a long time (no charging, no transactions) will be blocked.
